Times: Daily 9:00-4:00 PM Monday thru Thursday! (We extended each day by 1 hour and are taking Friday off so you can get to the Beach!)

Brief Description:
The goal for the Good Counsel Lacrosse camp is to provide quality instruction in the fundamentals of lacrosse. We plan to accomplish this goal by providing each camper with an intense week of training in a positive environment. A small camper to counselor ratio will enable us to give each camper individual attention as we teach overall fundamentals as well as position-specific skills and techniques. Teamwork, effort, sportsmanship, and confidence will be stressed throughout the camp.
About Coach Haight:
Good Counsel has won 5 straight WCAC titles. Ranked #6 in the Washington Post giving the Good Counsel lacrosse program 5 straight years without falling from the Wasington Post Top 10 ranking. This past year Coach Haight has seen 18 of the players continue their lacrosse careers at the college level. (Good Counsel/Jackals Club Lacrosse) Coach Haight was named the Washington Post All-Extra "Coach of the Year" giving him 11 such distinctions in his career.
Camp Specialities!
WE HAVE CHANGED OUR FORMAT FOR THE 2011 CAMP! We will be giving daily awards for: 1)Camper of the Day 2) Sportsmanship Award 3) Teamwork Award 4) Hustle Award 5) Daily Improvement Award... The Final Day of Camp will be highlighted by individual and team competitions. Prizes will be awarded in multiple categories.
Event Description:
The Good Counsel Girls' Lacrosse Camp is the longest running lacrosse camp for girls in the county. This is year number 8 and we are the longest running girl's lacrosse camp in Montgomery County. Daily sessions will include skill lessons, individual attack and defense techniques, team concept sessions, coached scrimmages, and specialized goalie instruction.
The Camp Store will be open throughout the week. Good Counsel and Get Good apparel, accessories, sports drinks, and a variety of snacks will be sold.
Daily pizza orders will also be available. Dining Hall: Campers will reside in air-conditioned during lunch everyday. Campers should pack their own lunch or be prepared to purchase fruits, snacks, pizza, and drinks daily.
Registration: To take place Monday's on the week you are attending from 8:30-8:50

Individual work with counselors and Coach Haight is available from 8:15-8:45 am.

9:20 Skill and Station Work (Each day has a specific focus: Fundamental Day, Position Day, Transition Day, Competitiion Day) 10:15 Skills Reinforcement
11:00 Daily competition practice (longest throw, hardest shot, partner pass, trick shot, accuracy, gauntlet)
11:30 Lunch
12:15 Challenge the Counselors
12:30 Team Skills

Cancellation Policy All requests for cancellation must be made to Michael Haight in writing. All monies paid, with the exception of the $50.00 administrative fee, will be refunded provided the request is made three weeks prior to the start of camp. No refunds will be provided after 6/6/09 without proper medical documentation.
